Sweet & Spicy Wings


2 dozen chicken drumettes, or 12 chicken wings, tips removed, separated at joint
Vegetable oil
1/2 cup Castella Soy Sauce
1/4 cup orange juice
1 Tsp of Castella Granulated Garlic
1-2 tablespoons toasted Castella Sesame Seeds
½ cup Castella Jalapeño Peppers (chopped up)
¼ cup white distilled vinegar
½ cup sugar
¾ cup water
½ tablespoon salt


  1. Preheat oven to 425°F
  2. Line a large baking sheet with foil and brush lightly with oil
  3. Pat wings dry with paper towels
  4. Spread in a single layer on baking sheet so that wings are not touching each other (use 2 baking sheets if necessary)
  5. Drizzle lightly with oil and toss to coat
  6. Bake for 20 minutes
  7. Meanwhile, stir together soy sauce, chili sauce, orange juice and garlic
  8. Baste wings with about 1/3 of sauce and turn to coat
  9. Bake for another 20-25 minutes, basting with additional sauce and turning every 5 minutes, until wings are well glazed
  10. Transfer to a platter, sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve hot
